During their performance of “Purple Irises,” the duo captivated the attention of every iris in the room with their charming dance moves, flirtatious banter, and endearing laughter as they took the stage at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The 54-year-old Stefani looked perfectly put together in a glittering purple jumpsuit that hung from her neck to the top of her thighs. Wearing his characteristic button-up shirt, black blazer, and jeans, her 47-year-old husband kept his outfit a little more understated for the performance alongside the No Doubt frontwoman.

The singers were surrounded by purple irises on the stage, and a stained-glass portrait of the same flowers behind them illuminated the husband and wife. They performed an amazing rendition of the song, which they had released in February in anticipation of her Super Bowl LVIII TikTok Tailgate.

“But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you / Don’t know what I’d do, don’t wanna lose you,” they’re singing. “Everything perishes and vanishes / You can’t / Stop time, so put me in a vase,” she croons. “It’s not 1999 / But this face is still mine / The way you look at me / I swear my heart hits rewind.”

The couple, who met while filming NBC’s The Voice, appeared cool as cucumbers as they strolled down the red carpet together earlier in the evening. Their performance was met with a standing ovation from the audience and positive feedback from people watching at home on social media.

Blake Shelton previously acknowledged he doesn’t have “creative input” on the show when ET spoke with him over the couple’s impending performance.

“‘Purple Irises’ is for Gwen’s album and I was just lucky enough that she asked me to be on the song, but I don’t have any idea what she’s gonna come up with for production,” said Shelton. “You might definitely anticipate receiving some flowers, but I’m not sure. This time, I’m just going to go along for the ride and enjoy myself by hanging around. I’m happy to assist in any manner I can; this is more about her and her record.”

The former Voice judge continued, saying that Stefani’s request to appear at the ACM Awards “made my heart happy.” “It made me happy, [made] my heart happy that the country music industry is embracing her.”

The “Honey Bee” crooner talked to ET in April, sharing details on his ten-year relationship with his wife, which started on The Voice, and his relationship with her three sons, Apollo, 10, Zuma, 15, and Kingston, 17.

Regarding his plans for the future, he stated, “If I could have a repeat of these past 10 years, [that] would be perfect.” “It’s unbelievable to me that our 18-year-old will be turning 18 next month. We’ll have another 18-year-old in a few years. And that means that I suppose there will be a lot more time spent alone, which is okay with me as well.”

He continued, “But we still have Apollo, so we have another almost 10 years before we can kick him out, so it should be a lot of fun.”
